Jewelry Care
Silver is a precious metal that evolves over time, acquiring a unique patina. To preserve the beauty of your jewelry, proper care is essential.
Here are some tips for caring for your jewelry.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Store your jewelry away from light and moisture, ideally in a box or soft fabric pouch. Avoid contact with other jewelry to prevent scratches.
Sterling silver
Use a silver polishing cloth to remove light oxidation.
Deep cleaning: For very tarnished jewelry, apply a liquid silver cleaner with a soft cloth. Then rinse with lukewarm water, dry gently and polish with a soft cloth.
Oxidized silver
Oxidized silver takes on a dark hue after being immersed in a specific liquid (sulfur oxide), which modifies its surface. A wax is applied to seal the oxidation and add dimension. As the jewelry is worn, the edges and ridges wear away, revealing the shiny silver underneath and creating captivating reflections.
